Security Robot.

These characters serve as security/police. This is part of the hobby side of what I do and hopefully will be used in a graphic story.

On certain guard duties, they carry shields and staffs, both can be used as weapons. The shields are all kit bashed from aircraft wings. I have a lot of old kit used for detailing and the wings usually don’t get used, so I have many.

The staffs are a brass tube detailed with kit parts with miniature fluorescent tubes in them. This also shows all the parts used to make up the hands. They also get lots of tiny metal and electrical parts for extra detail.

This shows carving the head form out of balsa. The individual blocks gives me a permanent series of guide lines as I carve the shape. The surface is then built up with styrene strip glued on. The wood is then carved out.
